High 5 for Friday!

Joining Lauren Elizabeth today for High Five for Friday!

We only have 3 more weeks until summer time and the kids and I are sooo excited to actually get to spend time together doing what we do best, which is having fun and creating memories.

1. The roomie and I are going to sign a lease tomorrow for a new place, after much debate (really not so much) we have decided to stay here in Kennesaw, and will just be moving to another apartment complex that is more in our budget.

2. I mentioned earlier this week that I am taking control of my finances and am doing Dave Ramsey's Baby Steps, well I am also putting myself on a budget and am using the envelope system. He has this awesome wallet that helps with that and it came in the mail last night, just before I get paid. I am so excited to use it and help keep me in check while I battle my way out of debt!

3. Since the roomie and I will be moving in a couple of weeks, I am starting to pack up all my things which basically means shuffling items from one side of my room to the other and stopping often occasionally to browse at pictures, like this one.

4. I am really excited about the T Shirt Quilt Along I am doing, it is really keeping me accountable in finishing the quilt, which I need to be because my sister's birthday is about a month away. If you are interested in joining along please click over to here.

5. I am an avid Grey's Anatomy watcher. I have watched it since it aired on a Sunday night at 10pm right after Desperate Housewives. It is a family affair for me as well as both of my sisters watch it. Usually, right as the show is about to start we are sending each other texts of support and love, and then during the show texts of anger or happiness or shock. Well last night was the 2nd episode in a series of episodes that are saying goodbye to Cristina Yang, one of the lead characters. One of my other favorite things to do is go on twitter and like everyone's tweet with the hash tag #greysanatomy, it's just a thing. If you watch the show and watched last night you will understand this picture I found and loved. It's coming all full circle. Shonda Rhimes is a genius.

That's All Folks!

Catching Up

The past month has been absolutely crazy. I feel though that this week was normal and mostly because it's leading into my first "normal" weekend in a whole month. I have loved having friends and family from out of town and my amazing cabin weekend, but I am ready to be at home with the dog and my roomie and just do what we normally do on a Saturday.

With that being said while this week was normal it was one that helped me catch up and get to where I am now.

1. My mommy and Aunt passed through Atlanta on their way back to Phoenix over the weekend and I had such a fun time with them. We went and picked apples and watched football and spent a good amount of time together.

2. There were some major break throughs when it came to my relationship with me and my dad, I am so happy where the Lord has brought us. You can read all about that here. It's a long story and tear jerker for sure, but a must read in my opinion.

3. That beautiful iOS 7 came out and I got it as soon as I could on my measly Iphone 4. The funny thing I am only going to have this phone for 2 weeks because my upgrade happens to be on October 1st and I have decided to get the 5s, now the real question is Gold or Silver....

4. My youngest W turned 6 yesterday which is crazy to me because he was only 4 when I started working for them. I made this Lollipop Arrangement for his birthday since he doesn't eat cake, ice cream, brownies, cookies or anything but lollipops and starbursts.

5. Last night I finally rented and got to watch Now You See Me and let me say, I would watch it over and over again, because it was so good. I was truly surprised and I usually guess what's going to happen in movies like these.

I am linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for High 5 for Friday and all the ladies over at 5 on Friday!

High 5 for Friday

Crazy week to say the least, all coming to head tonight when at 5pm I sit in front of a computer and take a test that helps determine my future....the GRE. I guess I am as prepared and I am going to be but if you read this and think of me around then please say a prayer for peace and knowledge.

With all that here is my 5 for Friday!

 photo H54Fbutton-1_zpsa7aaa665.png

1. With the kids in school the Nanny to Do list is always a fun time and you never know what you get to do. On Monday I got to build this bench for the hallway. I just need to get some paint and we are going to have the kids decorate with their handprints.

2. Obvious GRE study brain when I was driving and realized that I never put the cap back on or closed my gas tank on the nanny van....

3. Abby was my mentee when I was in college and one of my best friends and I love her dearly. Driving home from Bible Study Wednesday I decided to call her and we talked for around an hour and I am always so blessed by what she has to say.

4. Milo Man and I with our rendition of Paris in Fall. I put the Eifel Tower up a while ago with some sconces but as the fall rolls around so does all the decorations in this house.

5. Due to not wanting to study and not feeling tired enough to go to sleep, and my best friend Patrick coming into town this weekend with his mom and sister, I made these bad boys, Soft Pumpkin Cookies with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting, you can find the Post here. They are a part of my Fall Baking List which goes into full swing on Sunday!

Now time to clean, go take some dogs to a kennel and then freak out a little bit before 5pm gets here.

High 5 For Friday - Fall Preview!!

I totally had nanny brain last night and forgot that I needed to bake a pound cake for a birthday shindig tonight. If you know me, and I feel like you all do, I can not just get a box and throw it together, this has to be hand made. Luckily we have a friend in town, Beth, and so we were going to be staying up to chat with her, so I figured why not. Well many an issue arose and I was about to be over this cake when it turned out great, and we got a funny mac book photo session in.

Without further ado I am linking up with Lauren Elizabeth for High 5 for Friday.

This has been a busy week I feel even though the kids are all back in school. But hooray for Friday!!

1. I made the kids German Schultutes for the first day of school with goodies and treats in them, and they were a smashing hit!

2. I made Shrimp Skillet, and as I continue to eat it through this week, it just gets better and better, will definitely be making this healthy dish again!

3. This is Lindsey, she is my roomie and one of me best friends. She is the crazy who moved up to Atlanta with me when we only knew 1 person. We have had many an up and down but right now God has us in a fantastic season. Anyways she decided she wanted to go back to finish her Bachelors and get her that degree. She applies to Arizona State University for their online program and was accepted. I am so proud of her and I know she can do it!!

4. I was looking for a new read and someone mentioned this around me one time so I looked it up and it looked like something that would peak my interest. I don't read often but when I find a book I like I can't seem to put it down. That's this book, it is so good, I am already 100 pages in and I just bought it yesterday, crazy!

5. This is Beth, myself, and Lindsey at about 12:55 last night while I was waiting on my pound cake to finish baking so we can go to bed. This is the only normal picture we took of the 100 all together. The others turned out all over the place with many a surprises and oh so much laughter. I love these girls!

Now its time to get to the grind, gotta run into the big ATL to get some stuff done and get home before those beautiful children get off the bus and we head to our favorite ice cream place for Fun Friday!!

High 5 for Friday!

Well today is my last full day with my kiddos. Then it's the weekend and they go back to school on Monday. Talk about a whirlwind crazy summer. I didn't have much time to blog balancing 3 kids for 50 hours a week, but now I am ready for routine.

Anyways I am liking up again with Lauren Elizabeth for High Five for Friday!

 photo H54Fbutton-1_zpsa7aaa665.png

1. I completed these lovely canvases to go in my bathroom. I am hoping to buy the frame to go around them at Hobby Lobby today. I am completely re-doing my bathroom but it's going to be a slow process.

2. Some last minute crafting to get ready for school. No matter what they love when I pop out of no where and say "I Have A Craft Idea!!!" I hope they never lose their excitement.

3. Posted this picture on Instagram (@thenannyjenny) and it blew up with likes and comments. Nothing like a Welcome Fall Party pre-planning which is what I have been doing all week. Can someone say crazy fall lady?

4. Took the goofballs to the Aquarium today, which meant tons of fun and laughs. Story behind this picture is that we were in the Penguin encounter where you can get up in these little peek bubbles or whatever anyways, tight spacing and I was holding W, we ended up just laughing as I clicked away. I love us.

5. I posted this joker last night in preparation for Fall after deciding that I didn't want to do a Bucket list but a baking list. You can click over to here to see my post.

Happy Fridays Everyone.

High 5 for Friday

 photo H54Fbutton-1_zpsa7aaa665.png

My week started on Monday in Florida as I ended my long weekend vacation full of bridal showers, going away parties, and bachelorette parties. I was one busy girl but it was such a great time!

1. This was taking right before we checked out of our condo on Monday, the lovely lady next to me in the front is the bride-to-be. All the rest of us are her bridesmaids! It was a fun weekend hanging out with these ladies and I can't to be with everyone again in December for the wedding.

2. After I left the condo I headed north about 30 minutes to the beloved St Augustine and had to get my fix of Mangos Mangos. I was joined by some friends and had a fabulous lunch and it was delicious as always.

3. This is my super awesome bible study group. I was praying for a long time that God would bring in a group of women to my life to help me grow and just do life with and these ladies are the answer to my prayer. We come from all walks and stages in life and I love them all so much. Wednesdays are the best.

4. I posted this picture for Throwback Thursday yesterday of me in the pumpkin patch last year. Why? Because I am so ready for fall to make it's appearance. I love fall. It is my favorite season to cook in and to decorate and to do crafts about. Who doesn't love some scarves and sweaters and boots?!?

5. For some reason it took me 3 days to write this post here but I finally did get it out there this morning on the bag that I made to put into the Cara box I sent a few weeks ago. Super simple and a fun night project!

This weekend holds nothing too major other then my roomie and I starting a new tradition of inviting someone over for a dinner to get to know them better and just to hang out. More about that to come later.

Have a great weekend!!

High 5 For Friday

It has been a while since I have done this link up but I am on a roll this week with getting posts out so here it comes!

Make sure you go over to Lauren's Blog to check out everyone's posts.

1. We started our week 2 of summer with the theme Plants and Flowers. The first thing we made were these super cute flower leis that the kids loved. We ended up wearing them for the majority of the week, and now they are on display. You can find my post on them here.

2. Wednesday was A (the oldest) 9th birthday! She is getting so big and old. Well anyways I pulled into my parking spot and these two ran to my car to show me the new softball tool she got which is a ball on a long pole to help with her hitting. Those goobers had already been outside practicing and I get there at 8. Crazy Kids.

3. Tuesday night my roomie helps lead worship at a church and so I hang out with this kiddo and usually try to go walking for the both of us. He just love getting in the car and it just cracks me up because he looks hilarious. We had a great time for sure.

4. Yesterday we had a good bit of down time because we had a swim meet at night. So while the kids were resting up and getting ready we did some crafts. This involved hand prints and feet prints and pictures, it came out really cute and I am going to be doing a post on this later and will link to it when I get it up.

5. Live near the Atlanta area?? Well then you were around for the nasty nasty storms last night. I was home eating dinner with Milo and watching TV when the Emergency Service Announcement came on saying there was a tornado warning. I am not the biggest fan of storms so I was a little nervous. The trees outside the window were literally bent over. I soon put on a movie and shut the blinds to keep my mind off of it. Well Milo didn't leave my side and so he ended up like this all night. I love that kid.

Today I had plans to go to a farm for the end of our week but it is going to be super crazy busy today so we are just running errands. We will probably get to a farm next week to make up for it.

Have a great Friday!

High 5 for Friday!

Well this week has been slow for me blog wise, it was a busy work week, we are getting ready for vacation and the end of the school year. The next two weeks are going to be crazy, but I am ready for it. (Actually the whole summer is going to be nuts, but let's do it to it!)

I am joining Lauren again for High 5 For Friday!!! Make sure you go and check out some of the other posts.

 photo H54Fbutton-triangle_zps678b65ba.jpg

1. Monday Nigh is girls night and we ended up in Little 5 and the Virginia Highlands, which is a really nice and eclectic part of Atlanta. We went to a record store first and then dinner at Harry and Sons. It's a sushi Thai place that was delicious!

2. This is Morgan, I met her at Passion 2013 when she and 12 other people stayed in the same 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house with me. It was crazy fun but it worked amazingly well. Anyways she happened to also know my friend Kirsten which makes this world continually smaller and smaller. She was in town with a bunch of other people and we all went bowling, it was so much fun!

3. This is Kristen, who was apart of that big group too. She also stayed with us at Passion. She came bounding in the door and we were running to each other to hug when we both stopped and looked at each other because we just happened to be twins. It was rather funny.

4. This is me when I was 4 years old. As you can see now I am a brunette and not as tan as I could be. Back in the day I was super blond and super tan, my parents kept us playing outside often and my brother and I tan more then burn. (Except for this past weekend and now my back is molting like a bird, ew) This is at a butterfly garden in Columbus, Georgia.

5. My sisters and I are HUGE Grey's Anatomy fans. I have watched the show since it first aired on Sunday night at 10pm right after Desperate Housewives aired. I have followed it ever since and have a loyalty to it. I also own all of the seasons up to this one (and I am so tempted to pre-order it online) and just watch it all the time. Well my sisters and I attempt to watch it when it airs and we text during the show, this is the text I sent them last night in preparation. Everything mentioned below did happen especially the yelling and crying.

That's it for another fantastic week. I am headed to bowling for Fun Friday with Wyatt and then later tonight I am going to another Braves game and cannot wait. I love baseball and it is finally over 70 out there so it will really feel like baseball season.

Love you all!
